PVD Cleaning

Your PVD coated wheels will provide many years of durable service. Like any quality product you purchase, certain guidelines must be followed for proper cleaning and maintenance.

Please follow these guidelines to ensure your PVD Chrome wheels will provide you with years of satisfaction.

  • PVD wheels have a clear coat finish that requires some precautions during cleaning.
  • Do not use any type of chrome cleaner on your wheels. Chrome cleaners contain very harsh acids that can cause the clear-coat to peel. The use of these chrome cleaners will void your warranty.
  • We recommend the use of a soft cloth, soft sponge, or a micro-fiber towel for cleaning.
  • We recommend Eagle One PVD Wheel Cleaner. It has a pH-neutral formula that removes dirt, grime, and brake dust without damaging the clear coat.
  • Always clean the wheels when they are cool and avoid any type of high pressure washing.
  • It is recommended to apply a high quality wax after your wheels are cleaned to protect the finish.
  • Minor scratches can be easily polished out with a good quality scratch removing compound and buffing wheel.
  • We recommend Eagle One Premium Wheel Polish or Meguiar's Scratch X2.0.
