Wheel Exchange Program for Factory OEM Wheels

Detroit Wheel and Tire’s Wheel Exchange Program is an easy and affordable way to replace your factory stock wheels without unnecessary vehicle downtime. Browse our online inventory, order a matching set of wheels, have them installed locally, and return your original wheels using prepaid FedEx return labels. Once your eligible stock wheels are received and inspected, your refundable core deposit is processed.

Easy Online Ordering Process

This is our most popular purchasing method. Customers are able to purchase a new set of wheels economically while avoiding downtime with their vehicle

The exchange method provides an easy and convenient way to replace your stock wheels.

1. Step 1: Browse our online inventory for a set of wheels that fit your vehicle.
2. Note: Please call or email a representative if you are unable to find the set you are looking for. Our PVD wheel inventory is constantly changing and expanding.
3. Step 2: Add the set of wheels to your shopping cart to begin the checkout process.
4. Step 3: You will be invoiced for the new set of wheels, refundable core deposit, shipping charges, and sales tax (if applicable).
5. Note: Wheels that are in stock will ship within one business day. Special order or out of stock wheels will take 2-4 weeks to be processed. If item is out of stock, you will be contacted within 24 hours.
6. Step 4: When your wheels arrive, have them installed on your vehicle at your local automotive shop.
7. Step 5: Note: SAVE ALL SHIPPING BOXES AND PACKING MATERIAL! See the return label instructions PDF to generate return labels from our website.
8. Step 6: Place your stock wheels into the same boxes that your new wheels were shipped in. Use the original packaging material to properly and securely pack each wheel in its own box. Seal each box closed with proper shipping tape.
9. Step 7: Attach the prepaid FedEx return shipping labels to each box.
10. Step 8: Drop off at any facility that accepts FedEx Ground shipments.
11. Note: Ground shipments can be dropped off at a FedEx customer center, FedEx retail store, Staples, or Office Depot. Find a FedEx drop-off location near you.

Requirements for The Exchange Program:

You have the exact same wheels on your car that you are purchasing.

Your wheel finish is painted, polished or machined.

Chrome and Chrome Clad wheels are not accepted.

PVD coated wheels are accepted with an additional $25 per wheel processing fee.

Your wheel must not have any damage, structural or cosmetic.

Any damage that requires repair or refinishing work in order to make the wheel available for resale will be deducted from your core deposit.

Any wheels that are unrepairable (i.e., scrap) will forfeit the entire security deposit. Upon customer request, wheels will be returned, at customers expense.

Unrepairable wheels will not get the core deposit refunded

Core wheels must be received within 30 days of invoice date
